HIPAA Compliance & Security

- Screens that don't auto-lock after 5–10 minutes of inactivity, leaving PHI exposed.
- Shared accounts and passwords. Every user should have a unique login for accountability.
- BYOD without policy. Personal devices need MDM and clear access boundaries.
- Lingering accounts for terminated employees. Access must end the moment employment does.
- No centralized identity management. Use Active Directory or a proper IAM system.
